Comprised of three senior teams we have our 1st team, 2nd team and Sunday friendly team the Ravens.

Hopkinstown cc has a rich history of senior cricket which has seen much success over passed years.

The club is proud to have players who have worked their way up from the earliest grass root levels, as far back as under 11’s.

Competing in division 5 of the south east wales cricket league this year the club are going through a slight rebuild, introducing players from, a now flourishing youth set up we have our eye’s firmly set on the future success of the club.

We pride ourselves on being a family club that is engrained into the local community, encouraging people to enjoy the sport and grow with us as a team.

A Word from the Captain

Hi everyone, I'm Gareth Hughes and I am 1st team captain at Hopkinstown cricket club. I would like to welcome everyone to our brand new website which looks amazing and is another big step in pushing the club forward.

The 1st team are competing in division 5 of the south east wales cricket league this year, and are hoping to have a good season and are hopefully competing at the top end of the league. We have entered the Welsh cup which starts in early May and is always fun to compete in.

We have also entered the national village cup which also starts in early May and have been drawn away at Ynystawe, who are a fantastic team and we look forward to playing them. We will be competing in the Rhondda midweek cricket league, which is great because we play all the local teams in the surrounding area.

Hopkinstown is a wonderful community cricket club and is at the heart of the village. We are always looking for new players whatever your age or cricket ability you will be more than welcome to join us here at Hopkinstown.

Myself and all the boys can’t wait to get the 2022 season underway. We have got a mixture of old faces and a few younger players coming through the ranks.

We are looking forward to playing in division 12 this year playing at some familiar clubs and travelling to some clubs we haven’t played before. Some players who haven’t played for a while are making comebacks to strengthen the team and new players are welcome to come along and join our wonderful club.
